October ’93 is when I started my first business working with bikes in Via del Sasso in Lucca.
I wasn’t, in fact, a newcomer to this world as years before I had competed in races in the junior categories.
I knew right from the start, from that early experience, that I was deeply interested in taking part in everything that had to do with bikes.
In Via del Sasso I rented and repaired bikes and then went on to selling them.
I realised I had embarked on the path I wanted – passion and work coincided – and so I moved Chronò to Corso Garibaldi.
Over the years the shop has become a place where a community of international cyclists meet, where customers and friends come together to share projects, experiences and discuss cycling opportunities.
The shop has grown. Chronò has become a point of reference and after nearly thirty years my adventurous spirit, my love of the open air, my passion for cycling and that sense of curiosity, which is still very much alive, confirm the choices made.
And so, contemplating the future, I set up a Cycling Education School, free of charge, for girls and boys ranging in age from 7-14 so that this fantastic sport can be enjoyed more and more by the future generations.
I consider myself a lucky man because all this has allowed me to express an important part of my personality and the trust and esteem I have received over the years from the people I have met inspire me to pedal towards new horizons
